JIMI HENDRIX

“EL INMORTAL”

(The Immortal)

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Stereo very first press released in Chile in 1974 by Quatro Records, licensed from Puma, from the repertoire Euroson-Diresa, Argentina, catalog number QL-16, with hand etched matrix number QL-16-A C./A.G. in Side 1 and QL-16-B C./A.G. in Side 2, with rare light blue/black Quatro Records labels!!! Yes, WHAT A FIND!!!

“EL INMORTAL” is a compilation album released only in Chile in 1974 as part of the “SERIE SUPER LUJO” (Super Deluxe Serie) of Quatro Records. The cover is a flipback cover made of 2 single pieces of thin and non-laminated cardboard, with front cover pasted on the flips of back cover. Front cover has an UNIQUE ARTWORK, with album title and a drawing of Jimi Hendrix. In back cover the texts are in Spanish but the song titles are in English only. Back cover has another picture of Jimi Hendrix, with a long text written in Spanish only, with a review of the death of Jimi Hendrix and the information “this record is a live show performed at the Shelton Paladium in August of 1970, one month before his mysterious death”.

What a great find for all Jimi Hendrix fans and collectors!!! Please check this link to see this record it’s really a GREAT FIND: http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=421405. A piece of the history of the best guitar player of the rock era that all fans and collector should have and hear!!! And the most interesting thing it’s this album has an UNIQUE COVER and this album was only released in Chile!!! And more, this album has an UNIQUE ERROR too, the song “How Would You Feel”, correctly written in label, it’s misspelled “How Would You FELL” in back cover!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all lovers, fans and collectors of Jimi Hendrix!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG or VG+ condition, glossy and clean, light ring marks, some wear in the side of the mouth and corners, creases at top right corner, a faint mark of humidity in front cover, age browning in back cover and residues of a tape at top left corner in back cover. The record is in EX or EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with soft scuffs and light hairlines hard to see at first sight, which don’t affect sound at all. Labels are in NM or NM+ condition, with only some minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in amazing strong EX+ or NM- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only some very light crackles barely audible here and there, which don’t distract at all from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a MEGARARE record ONLY released in Chile with UNIQUE COVER and UNIQUE ERROR, with still a great glossy look and still amazing sound quality after about 48 years, which won't disappoint anyone!!! A record to sit, listen and enjoy, and AMAZING FIND FROM CHILE AGAIN!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

_________________________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
