1st Pressing Matrix Numbers
This is the 1968 UK pressing of Electric Ladyland with the fully laminated 'nude' Ernest J Day gatefold cover and the white inside text. It has the original 613008/9 catalogue number at the base of the inside and not the 2657 012 number that later pressing had.
RARE MISPRESSED LABEL & VINYL....
Sides A&D are regular 1st pressing labels with the inverted catalogue number. They also play Sides A & D tracks as they should.
However, Sides B&C are mispressed - although the labels themselves do still have some of the manufacturer's glue residue on them are not in great condition - see scans.
On Side B, the manufacturers have stuck a 1st pressing label over a mispressed 'Side 4' (rather than side 'B') label - see scan. Both the original and stuck-over labels can be seen. Side B does indeed play Side B tracks.
Side C also had an original 1st pressing label stuck over a mispressed 'Side 3' (rather than Side C') label - see scan. However, this stuck-over label has since been lost - so I have copied a 'Side C' label from my other 1st pressing of this LP (which I will include), so that the buyer can see how the whole thing looked when it was first prchased. Side C does not actually play Side C tracks but has been mispressed and plays Side A tracks!
Cover: Laminated (inside and out) E J Day gatefold cover. This has the white text on the inner gatefold. In VG condition. No writings or doodles. Has heavy wear to spine - inside and out. Some laminate creasing.
Vinyl: Play tested. Looks VG(-) with quite a few marks but plays much better than it looks at VG+. Some crackle but no skips or jumps. Would benefit from a clean to bring up to its best.

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and more significant scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
