From my cherished Hendrix collection I am pleased to offer an exceptional example of the third studio album by THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE titled “ELECTRIC LADYLAND”, Catalogue Number 613008/9. This is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 1st PRESSING on the TRACK RECORD LABEL, with a superb 1st ISSUE E. J. DAY laminated gatefold sleeve which has the track-listing in BLUE TEXT on the inside. [The matrix numbers are the earliest corrected A//1, B//1, A//1, B//1].

The “blue text” sleeve is in EX condition with barely any wear and only a few light laminate creases. It’s a lovely example which should please most collectors.

The records are in EX+ condition. They are nice solid pressings with square-cut rim edges. The matt black Track labels are unmarked with only a few short spindle traces near the centres. There is virtually no wear to the spindle holes. Audio playback is MINT- throughout. Both records play essentially as new. The stereo “soundscape” mix really does provide a truly incredible listening experience! The sound quality is nothing short of sensational. It’s no wonder that these Track 1st pressings are so highly sought after.

Complete with the correct white poly-lined inner sleeves which have square-cut opening edges.

Overall this is a beautiful example of Hendrix’s most iconic album.

GRADINGS

The records that I offer for sale have been critically play-graded, at loud volume, on a Rega P5 turntable fitted with an Elys 2 cartridge. I will only sell records that play to a high standard. My gradings are strict and in accordance with the following descriptions:

·         MINT- Record is superb, almost like new, with just a few sleeve removal type surface marks and no deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve is near perfect in all respects.

·         EX Record is a top quality example, with just a few very light surface marks which do not sound (from sleeve removal or possibly superficial stylus wear). There will be barely any discernable deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve has slight wear and/or creasing.

·         VG Record has some visual surface marks, but still plays to a high standard without any major deterioration in sound quality – just a few clicks or light surface sound in places. Sleeve has normal wear and tear without any major defects. Still a very presentable sleeve.

PACKAGING

LPs are packaged with care and well protected to ensure that they arrive safely in the same condition as they leave me. Records are removed from both inner and outer sleeves in order to prevent seam-splits in transit.

Apologies for the typo in the description - the records are of course STEREO not mono!
