The Jimi Hendrix Experience---"Electric Ladyland"---Original UK 1st Press Stereo Double Album In EX (to NM) Playing Condition With VG+ Blue Text Sleeve On The Track Label---A1/B1/A1/B1 From 1968---With Hand Altered Matrix Numbers
This is a UK pressing from 1968 in stereo on the Track label, cat. no. 613008/009 with matrices A1/B1/A1/B1.
Vinyl: EX to NM. The vinyl is in great condition with a nice shine and just a few light hairlines on each side. It plays as follows, with sides C and D being EX+ and A and B being EX. Side A has a couple of ticks mid way through the 1st section of Voodoo and much later has a few more lighter ticks which are difficult to hear through the music. Side B has just a little surface noise in quieter parts with sides C and D playing much better with just the occasional sign of surface noise.
Labels: EX. Labels are in nice condition with no markings. There is normal spindle wear on 2 but much less on the other 2.
Sleeve: VG+. The 1st 1968 press "blue text" gatefold sleeve is in solid condition with a good shine and a small amount of thumb creasing and some slightly heavy edge wear. It feels really solid, unlike many copies which have a very limp feeling sleeve. The pictures of Noel and Mitch are, of course the 1st press larger versions unlike the smaller ones printed in the white text versions.
With a low start price you could get yourself a real bargain.
