  • Media Condition: Very Good plus(VG+)
  • Sleeve Condition: Very Good Plus plus (VG++)

JIMI HENDRIX Electric Ladyland UK Polydor issue of the majestic 1968 16-track double LP,  housed in a laminated gatefold picture sleeve with a cornucopia of cosmetically arrayed naked  beauties that Jimi was none too pleased about at the time!
This was the originally issued  sleeve design, and was banned in some  markets, then replaced with another altogether that did not cause offence  to some.
Both the sleeve & vinyl of this seminal album are in great  condition.
There are no splits or tears. Just a faint little ring wear. As photos - written  initials  on labels/sleeves. There is the smallest squashing of corners, about 8mm in only-all but unnoticeable. If not for these the cover would be NM (M-) grade. Cover is superb, has been kept in a plastic cover.  See photos, for example the spine is almost as new.  In photos you can see what look like stain marks on the cover- this is just light reflecting off the laminated surface)
The vinyl shows only minor signs of any play. No major visible marks or blemishes.  Plays without fault (tested on a good quality deck), very little crackle or clicks (one at start of B2 track,  does not mar  playback/sound).  Very clean labels no spindle wear.  Catalogue Number 2310269/270, set nos. 2657-012. side A backs side D side B backs side C Matrix nos  side A = 2310269 A 4-11 04 (HAND WRITTEN) side B = 2310270 B # 5 420 04 12 11 side C = 2310270 C# 2 420 04 1 11 side D = 2310269 D # 2 420 04 11 The last 3 were stamped.

Grading System

In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set  of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where  applicable

MINT or NM : The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect  condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

VG+: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound  quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration
in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear  on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G or G+: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated,
perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing  of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable
surface noise; it may even jump.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and
contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
