CURIOSITY LP
Background to this curiosity:
This is the oddest copy of Electric Ladyland that I have owned. I purchased it from a street trader at the Portobello Road street market in London about 15 years ago. He was selling ex BBC Radio records that he purchased at an auction. Most were classical LPs but tucked in among them was this Hendrix LP.
The cover is a laminated non-gatefold - just the naked ladies on the outside. It has a 'Manufacturers Property - not for sale' sticker on the rear of the cover.
It came in a plastic protective cover with a BBC Radio 1 "Audio Library" card with a catalogue number on it. On the reverse is what looks like a library ticket. Inside the cover was a letter from Track records to the BBC Controller - see scan
The cover contained only one record - a genuine first pressing (sides B&C only) with the inverted matrix catalogue number on the label - see scan. The matrix numbers in the run off grooves are
Side B = 613008#9A ((handwritten 9A) B (crossed out) //1 169
Side C = 613009 B (all handwritten) //1 151
+ crossed out machine stamped number 613008 A//1
I can see that the record is genuine as I have owned many copies of this LP. The cover certainly looks genuine. However, I have never seen anything like the Track letter or Radio 1 library card/ticket before so cannot vouch their authenticity. I paid £10 for this curiosity in around 1995 - so that's the start price. The record on its own is probably worth at least £10. I will let Hendrix experts decide whether this curiosity has any value. If anyone knows more about this curiosity, do please let me know and I will add the information to the listing.
Cover: VG+. No writings, doodles or seam splits. Taped at the spine and some wear to the edges.
Vinyl: Not play tested - looks to be Good only. Quite a lot of surface marks.
Labels: Has Sides B&C on one LP. Inverted catalogue numbers on left hand side above the regular catalogue number - see scan - only 1st pressings had this.

If the item has to be returned, in addition to refunding your payment I will also refund your initial postage costs when buying the item. However, I'm afraid I cannot reimburse you for the postage cost for returning the item.
Gradings.......
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and more significant scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
