Description
This is a copy of the amazing first UK pressing of the debut JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE album ARE YOU EXPERIENCED on TRACK RECORDS. Record number 612001 in MONO with 612001 matrix numbers with A1 B1 stampers.
As you can see from the photos, the cover retains its strong laminate sheen but does have some lifting to the laminate as can be seen on the photos. There are no tears or splits to the cover but there is so wear to the spine and the wording can no longer be seen.
The rear of the cover has some ring mark and some wear to the edges.
The record shows some light wear from taking in and out of its sleeve and only a couple of light scratches on side 2. There are some light spindle marks on each side as can be seen on the photos.
I’ve played the record through and both sides have a strong clear sound with no skips, jumps or repeats.
There are light clicks at the start of Side 1 and clicks during Foxy Lady. There are some light clicks audible during the gap between Foxy Lady and Manic Depression and a couple of pops during Manic Depression. There are a couple of light clicks at the start of both Red House and Can You See Me. The clicks stop as the side progresses but there are few during the end grooves.
There are light clicks at the start of Side 2 with two pops at the start of Fire, clicks in the quieter sections of 3rd Stone from the Sun and at the very end of Are You Experienced.
Using the Record Collector grading system, I’d say that in my opinion this is probably a little better than a “Good” copy in that “the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The contents and cover suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc”. I know this is always a matter of opinion but I think the photos back up this measured and reasonable assessment.

Postage will be £6.50 delivered in the UK. I will send the record in a cardboard (not card!) mailer with a plastic sheet to protect the mailer from damp. Inside, I will remove the vinyl from the sleeve and provide a plastic cover.
