TRACK RECORDS cat# 613 003 ~ STEREO 1967 Original 1967 psychedelic LP

The best Psych Blues lp, loaded with all great eclectic tracks, well arranged and brilliant music! Jimi was now established in Europe, ensconced in London surrounded by admiration and progressive influences (Cream, Beatles, Animals, Troggs, John McLaughlin & others). His manager encouraged his ideas and imagination to record guitar music reaching new uncharted dimensions - and oh did Jimi respond! 'Axis; Bold As Love' is hot on the heels of his debut LP, but pushing his own highbar further up! All this was taking shape just previous to his planned return to his homeland, at Monterey Pop Festival in California, with lable-mates The Who. The LP saw release in December, less than a year after 'Are You Experienced' broke. The legend around this album is extraordinary, with Jimi losing the completed mix reel for one side of the album, then his '3D' concept got *corrected* in the mastering! Still the final pressed release is a PHENOMENAL piece of work that extended the medium for Stereo works! It's evidence is clear, from the grooves of this disc - it really is an apex in clarity, imaging, and effective application in a recording studio. It is still as mind blowing today in my opinion. ××××××××××××××××××××××××× About this package; The LYRIC INSERT that only should come with the MONO edition, is included as a supplement, attached to the inner sleeve! (see photos) There's an array of promotional papers and ORIGINAL 60's Swedish ads for live shows, plus REVIEWS cut from the newspapers for the performances, even up to September 1970 a couple of weeks before he tragically died. Then there are Swedish articles announcing his death also. Just inside the cover, where the lp is stored, there's a small inscription in pencil. See photos. An unique and certainly eclectic collection of items not normally to be found within an already-rare masterpiece in the UK edition! This is a fine piece, nice to find in decent playing condition. *********************************

Condition; The VINYL is NEAR MINT- with SUPERB full shine, a couple of TINY light marks not affecting play, Plays magnificently! Both sides play-grade NM. This is the original LP in very decent shape, a definite keeper archive copy for any discerning audiophile, fan, and collector.
