Description
Hi, and welcome to "psych_out!" auctions!!!
I specialize in 50's, 60's, and early 70's records of almost every genre - Jazz, Blues, Psych, Folk, Soul, Rock, Pop e.t.c and everything in between! I've been dealing records for years, but i'm new to the ebay game so i'd like to tell you all of my intentions. I travel all over the UK hunting out the VERY BEST records I can find. Obviously, 90%+ of the ones I can find are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock 'n' roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10%? I offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there!!!
I'm going to start by listing 20 LP's a week every Friday and Saturday, all timed to end 10 days later on Monday and Tuesday night. Hopefully after a while, i'll be able to step things up a gear or two in good time. I'll only ever offer THE BEST, MOST AMAZING, MOST IMPORTANT, VERY RAREST UK 1ST PRESS ORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDS I can ever possibly find!!! I won't insult you with later 2nd pressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity. I'm sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it's a 1st Press LP, direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard (none of this "digitally remastered", weak reissued, remixed rubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock! If these session men really knew how genius should sound, surely they would've been geniuses themselves?! There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that's just a tiny example).
I intend to become one of the best sellers on ebay and would like to thank all of you potential bidders for your support and taste in music!!! I strictly grade all LP's I list, visually and sonically (on a very lightweight turntable) as customer satisfaction is highly important to me, and i'll always do my very best not to let you down. Be sure to add me to your favourite sellers list and check my auctions frequently as i'll be listing some gems that you just WON'T want to miss out on!!!
I think that's everything, so let the auction commence!!!
Title : The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Axis : Bold As LoveLabel & year : Original Black Track 612 003 LP , UK Mono 1967 1st Press Vinyl!!!
Matrix's : Side A : 612003 A v 1, Side B : 612003 B v 1.
About : Ultra rare Original 1967 1st Press!!! This MASSIVELY RARE LP sold barely anything as a mono 1st issue and therefore had a very, very small run and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition!!! AN absolute classic LP from this incredible band!!! An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60's / 70's record collection!!! Don't miss out on this MEGA RARE LP, bid now!!!
Just like any of the Hendrix experience albums, this is one of THE BEST LP's of all time containing some of THE GREATEST music EVER recorded!!! I love this album. It's got a unique sort of taste, feel, and atmosphere. It's certainly the most psychedelic thing The Experience ever did, right from the phenomenal music to the INCREDIBLE cover artwork! This LP is incredible, and absolutely LOADED with classics - you've only got to look at the tracklist! It feels really relaxed and easy going, as if Hendrix was satisfied with proving himself to the world with "Are You Experienced", and felt it was time to do what he really wanted to do. There's not too much out and out blues on here, it's more experimental such as the Jazzy "Up From The Skies", the truly psychedelic "One Rainy Wish" (which you've GOT to hear in Hendrix's original mono form - it's truly shimmering beauty!!!), the Dylan-esque classic "Castles Made Of Sand", the hilarious "Wait Until Tomorrow", the delicate "Little Wing" and "Bold As Love", and his trademark freak out track! On Are You Experienced, it was "Third Stone From The Sun". On Electric Ladyland, it was "1983 (A Merman I Shall Turn To Be)". On this, it's the PHENOMENAL "If Six Was Nine"!!!
I can't believe how amazing this LP is, every track is truly outstanding. Probably my favourite Hendrix LP (though I couldn't live without any of them). Even Noel Redding's "She's So Fine" is suprisingly excellent psych-pop! It easily sits in the top 10 greatest albums of all time, and there it shall remain until the world blows up!!!
Until that moment? Well, we should all listen to his records and be thankful that Jimi Hendrix was born!!!
Tracklist : EXP, Up From The Skies, Spanish Castle Magic, Wait Until Tomorrow, Ain't No Telling, Little Wing, If Six Was Nine, You've Got Me Floating, Castles Made Of Sand, She's So Fine, One Rainy Wish, Little Miss Lover, and Bold As Love.
Musicians : Jimi Hendrix - Vocals / Guitar / Bass / Harpsichord, Noel Redding - Vocals / Bass, Mitch Mitchell - Drums, and Chas Chandler - Producer.
The LP :
Labels : Beautiful black Track stereo labels. All sides are SPECTACULAR with NO writing, and NO real marks OR wear whatsoever!!! Just some ultra light spindle marks around the spindle hole!!! INCREDIBLE for a 39 year old record!!! Both must grade overall as Excellent if not better!!!
Record : Visual - Spectacular 1st Press Vinyl!!! Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed!!! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks GREAT with minimal marks, and NO groovewear whatsoever!!! Just a few ultra light non-sounding hairlines, one scratch (mentioned in the audio), and a few of the lightest, wispy non-sounding sleeve traces (only visible in strong light) from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! Of course, none of these ULTRA light blemishes affect play in ANY way!!! UNBELIEVABLE for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall as Very Good++ if not better!!!
Record : Audio - Fantastic mono blast and clarity!!! It really sounds amazing!!! The only thing which stops this getting a higher grade is a small scratch between EXP and Up From The Skies which causes 2 hops and around 15 light revolutionary pops, though it's not too drastic and DOESN'T repeat!!! Other than that, NO hops, pops, distortion, sticks, clicks, or skips!!! Only a small amount of very low level "bluesman's fag" static crackle in places, though is only really audiable between tracks!!! The whole LP (other than that small blemish) sounds and plays FANTASTIC!!! INCREDIBLE for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall as Very Good++) if not better!!!
Sleeve : Original 1st Press outer laminated flipback gatefold E.J Day cover complete with original inner (someone has written the tracklisting on the inner)!!! Very hard to find in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT and looks TRULY OUTSTANDING!!! NO graffiti, NO writing, NO nasty marks or stains, NO tears, NO dulling of the beautiful artwork, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has some minor age blemishes such as some ULTRA MINOR creases near the edges (NO laminate lifting!!!), and the MEREST hint of a record imprint, NO half moon creases whatsoever!!! NO seam splits, and the spine looks FANTASTIC!!! EXCEPTIONAL for this sleeve!!! Must grade overall as Excellent minus if not better!!! (apologies for any yellow light reflection in the pics)
Summary : A truly GREAT example of this ASTONISHINGLY RARE 1ST PRESS LP!!! Don't miss out!!!
