Item Description:

In 1968 ‘Electric Ladyland’ was not only released as a double album but also as two seperate albums, this being the first one. This is an original used UK first pressing of ‘The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Electric Ladyland Part One’ released on ‘Track Record’ (Polydor records) in 1968 (Serial Number: 613 010). This is an extremely rare and collectable item on this format. *Please note that this item is listed in the ‘Record Collector: Rare Record Price Guide 2007’* I am therefore looking to attract sensible bids on this item from serious customers/collectors.

Condition of Item:

The laminated record sleeve is unfortunately only in ‘Good’ condition. The main defect of the record sleeve is two serious seam splits all along the top and bottom edge of the cover. ***Please see the other photo on the listing which shows the top edge seam split. The bottom edge is identical to this.*** Tape has been applied to the top and bottom of the cover to keep the jacket in place. The winning bidder may wish to take off this tape and try gluing the seam splits. Other than that, the record sleeve is in good shape apart from a few minor creases near the spine on the left hand side.

Most importantly, the vinyl disc itself is in near mint condition!  When looked at under a strong light source there doesn’t appear to be any scuffs, scratches or surface marks whatsoever! This disc has been unplayed since I acquired it. The disc shows no signs of spindle wear and the cut-hole is not misshapen. There are no signs of wear at all to the record label. Overall, the disc has retained its original gloss and shine and looks as new which is remarkable given its age.

The LP comes with the original plain white lined inlay sleeve which is in very good condition apart from a couple of tears on the one side near to the centre circle and some general creasing.

UK Customers

Customers within the United Kingdom will have their items sent out by First Class recorded delivery. The price of First Class recorded delivery insures items up to the value of GBP 34.00 against loss or damage. Therefore, customers who win items over the value of GBP 34.00 will be given the option to take out extra insurance on the item. If they choose not to and the item is then either lost or damaged in the postal system, I can not then be held accountable and expected to refund the price of the item to the buyer.

Overseas Customers

As a result of a couple of isolated incidents where I have sent out items via normal airmail and the buyer has claimed that the item has not been received and has expected a full refund (even though the item WAS sent out), I have had to revise my postage policy to overseas customers.

All items purchased by overseas customers will be sent out via Royal Mail ‘Airsure’ post, which unfortunately means an extra GBP 4.20 on the postage cost. However, with this increased postage cost comes priority handling, on-line tracking and delivery confirmation as well as up to GBP 34.00 compensation for loss or damage. Overseas customers who win items over the value of GBP 34.00 will be given the option of taking out extra insurance on the item. This can be purchased for an added GBP 2.00 and covers items up to the value of GBP 500.00. If buyers choose not to take out extra insurance and the item is then either lost or damaged in the postal system, I can not then be held accountable and expected to refund the price of the item to the buyer.

Sending out items by this method has proved very successful and has completely eliminated disputes regarding items being lost in the post.

However, I appreciate that some overseas customers may not be happy paying such high postage costs, especially on less expensive items. Therefore, I AM prepared to send out items via normal airmail to overseas customers (thereby reducing the postage cost) but ONLY on the condition that if the item does then get lost or damaged in the postal system that I am not held accountable and expected to refund the price of the item to the buyer. If you wish me to send out your item via normal airmail please contact me immediately after the auction has ended so that I can modify your invoice.

If you are bidding on several of my items and wish to receive a reduction in postage costs, please contact me as soon as the auction ends so that we can come to an agreement about the total postage so as to avoid disputes later.

Full payment must be received within 7 days of the auction’s end. Appropriate feedback will then be left.
