The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Electric Ladyland.

1970 Italy pressed Polydor Records 2 x LP set housed in externally laminated gatefold sleeve, SLPHM/D 184183/84.

Discs visually top end EX. Bright and glossy with just a very few tiny hairline scuff marks and some minor greying patination inherent in the press. Spindle activity is minimal. Plays with two or three isolated and soft ticks and a hint of very low level crackle to the quieter spots. This is all short lived and unobtrusive. Generally 99% of the set plays EX plus to near mint with quiet surfaces and a crisp dynamic sound.

Labels clean.

Externally the gatefold sleeve looks great. It still has a fresh and crisp appearance and has not been knocked around. Spine is intact and corners and edges are all true, square and unworn. However the sleeve has suffered previous water damage and still has a slight musty aroma although fully dried out. The interior of the gatefold has suffered some heavy rippling creasing (see photo). Were it not for this damage the sleeve is otherwise undamaged bar a few linear imperfections to the laminate at bottom of rear panel and would grade EX.

Note that I have replaced the original plain sleeves with fresh ones to prevent cross contamination of the discs which I have professionally cleaned.
