On ELECTRIC LADYLAND Jimi Hendrix stretched and experimented in the studio, going beyond the power-trio format on what would be his last studio album with the Experience. ELECTRIC LADYLAND was revolutionary in its scope and execution. Using New York City's Record Plant as a gateway to free expression, Hendrix traversed an abstract landscape containing compositions as weird and wonderful as "...And The Gods Made Love" and "1983...(A Merman I Should Turn To Be)."

Simultaneously looking forwards and backwards, Hendrix mixed in a song reminiscent of his time on the chitlin' circuit (Earl King's "Come On [Part 1]"), a Bob Dylan favorite ("All Along The Watchtower"), and one of his snappiest singles ("Crosstown Traffic"). Although Hendrix produced and wrote most of this masterpiece, others weighed in with their own contributions. Noel Redding penned "Little Miss Strange," and other guests such as Al Kooper and Buddy Miles showed up to play. Traffic's Steve Winwood and Jack Casady of Jefferson Airplane also made cameos, appearing on this classic album's spiritual center, "Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)."

SHIPPING
Packaging: Records are shipped very securely, in heavyweight cardboard materials from Vinyl Revival. Records are placed in a polybag, with cardboard sheets on either side, and enclosed in a heavy cardboard mailer.

Shipping Costs: LP’s and 45’s to any location in the United States are shipped Media Mail at $5.00. Insurance is optional at $2.00. Shipping to Canada (1st Class International) is $5.00 for 45’s and $8.50 for LP’s. Insurance to Canada is not available unless shipped Priority (about $21.00).

International Shipping: LP Shipping to Europe, Australia and Japan is $16.00 for 1st Class International, or $26.00 for Priority International. Please write for shipping prices to other countries or for 45's.

CONDITION
• NO RISK: If I miss something in grading and the record is not as described, I will refund the purchase price if returned in the original shipping materials and condition, and the refund is requested within a week of receipt.
• I try to grade conservatively, and will often describe flaws for further accuracy.
• I spot play-test every record to check for surface noise and separate scuffs from scratches.

Record Grades (from GOLDMINE):
•Still Sealed (SS) Still sealed in the factory shrink wrap. The only records I sell as Still Sealed are ones I purchased sealed, never opened and stored properly.
•Near Mint (NM)   A nearly perfect record. The record will show no obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or LP sleeve will have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. Has gloss and shine.

An LP in near mint condition looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap.
•Very Good Plus (VG+)  A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are ok. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it will be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play. 

Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount. 

In general, if not for a couple things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint.
•Very Good (VG)   Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. The surface of the record may be dull from repeated use.
Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them. 

•Good (G), Good Plus (G+)   Good does not mean Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. Some people might want to buy these to fill holes in their collection. 
A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
