Weighing in at nearly 15 pounds, this ultra-deluxe limited edition vinyl box set is an ultimate pleasure for any serious fan of Jimi Hendrix! Eight super-heavy deep groove, high quality albums, each in its own picture sleeve (with a protective inner sleeve), capture 56 unissued alternate takes and unreleased pieces from Hendrix's heyday in the heavy rock scene.
Box comes with a 40-page, full color album-sized booklet loaded with great photos, notes on each track, and a ton of rare memorabilia! This hernia-inducing box set is the last word on Jimi--and audiophile heaven for serious vinyl buffs!
PLEASE NOTE: BECAUSE OF THE HEAVY WEIGHT OF THIS SET, WE ARE ONLY SHIPPING IT TO THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA. IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THESE REGIONS AND WANT TO OWN THIS ITEM, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOMEONE LIVING IN NORTHERN AMERICA OR CANADA THAT WE CAN SHIP THIS SET TO! BOX has some staining on left edge of front from borax powder. If you carefully daub at the area with a damp, warm sponge, you'll probably get most of it off. Sides of velvet-effect box lid are clean, with some rubwear to silver-metallic Hendrix logo on all sides.
Back of box, with exhaustive track listing,is clean, with one small scuff at bottom center. Inside of box is clean. Box gets an overall VG+ because of the borax issue.
VINYL AND SLEEVES: Vinyl appears unplayed. Sleeves are similarly untouched. Gorgeous all the way, and M-.
BOOKLET: May have been perused once. Pages clean and smooth. A beauty! Book is also M-.
This is one of an ongoing group of classic pop, rock, soul, psych and prog LPs from the 1960s and '70s. They're all from the legendary collection of DAVID A. YOUNG!
