USA ROBERT LUDWIG MASTERED VINYL LP IN GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH ORIGINAL COMPANY INNER.
We have had a number of copies of this album down the years, and always thought it sounded rather lifeless and dull (not the music, Jimi's as brilliant as usual) but the actual recorded sound. But we wuz, well, right and we wuz also wrong. All the copies, and the CDs we have heard were lacking in something, but then we came across the Robert Ludwig Sterling pressings, and they absolutely are not dull - the moment you hear Dolly Dagger's opening riff the music jumps out of the speakers and grabs you. The difference is beyond belief, comparable perhaps to hearing the Ludwig mastered Led Zeppelin II album against all other versions - it is clearly not some myth, Ludwig just knew how to make recorded rock music come alive in the grooves. So, if you want to hear this album the only way it sounds fantastic, you have to track down a Ludwig mastered pressing...like this one...

SLEEVE: EXCELLENT MINUS, JUST LIGHT SHELF AND EDGE WEAR BUT DOES HAVE A CORNER CUT PROBABLY INDICATING A PROMO COPY.
DISC: EXCELLENT. CLEAN VINYL WITH NO MARKS OR SCRATCHES AND NO SPINDLE WEAR, SIDE TWO HAS ONE HAIRLINE TYPE MARK WHICH SEEMS TO BE IN THE VINYL ITSELF, OTHERWISE THE CLEANEST LOOKING RAINBOW BRIDGE WE HAVE EVER SEEN. IT PLAYS AND SOUNDS BETTER THAN ANY COPY WE HAVE EVER HEARD - THIS MAY WELL BE A GENUINE HOT STAMPER COPY, IF YOU ARE A HENDRIX FAN, DON'T LET THIS ONE PASS YOU BUY WITHOUT A FIGHT....
