Jimi Hendrix, The Cry Of Love

Very early UK pressed Polydor stereo LP housed in gatefold sleeve, 2302-023.

Paper labels.

Matrix Side One: 2302023 A/1 (etched) 2408101 (stamped, scored through with a line) A//1 1 2 1 3 (stamped).

Matrix Side Two: 2302023 B (etched) 2408101 (stamped, scored through with a line) B//1 1 1 1 4 (stamped).

This must surely be a very early pressing as I've seen many issues with later matrix numbers quoted as earliest pressings. Also the paper inner sleeve has a date code of 0872 (August 1972), which is shortly after the 1971 Track release.

Vinyl visually close to EX with little evidence of spider trail marks around the spindle areas and bright and clean labels.

A tiny dot of a mark, rather than scratch, causes around three very soft ticks to the beginning of "Angel". A fraction of crackle to the final track. Else plays EX.

Gatefold sleeve top end VG plus. Clean and bright with no issues of note and just the lightest of wear.
