Gleaming Gloss Vinyl is extremely clean with very few faint sleeve marks revealed under Hard Bright Light. Labels are Pristine both sides.

Laminated Cover has some mild to moderate shelf wear and a few soft edge creases to laminate. No other creases; No bends, writing, age-toning and no major flaws. Nice sharp corners all around. Seams and spine are completely intact with no wear or splits. Spine Titles are crisp, sharp and 100% Legible.

Highly sought BARCLAY France FIRST PRESSING with Superior Sound Quality Far more Powerful Mastering / Pressing than the tinny sounding UK Polydor issue
Previously Unreleased (April 1967 - July 1970) studio recordings including three songs that Hendrix planned for his fourth studio album: "Stepping Stone", "Izabella", and "Beginnings" (listed here as "Beginning"). that did not appear on CRY OF LOVE.

WAR HEROES also premiered the highly sought, previously unreleased, “PETER GUNN” - Jimi’s explosive, heavy and psyched out cover of the classic Henry Mancini TV/Film Noir theme. WAR HEROES is also the first appearance of Hendrix originals “Highway Child”, “Bleeding Heart”, “Midnight” and the obscure but excellent psych rendition of Swedish progressive jazz-rock “Tax Free” (composed by Bo Hansson / Janne Carlsson, who played with Hendrix a number of times in Stockholm).

Much of this is intentionally a more GROOVE oriented fluid Psych/Funk direction, that Hendrix was leaning into on his last recordings. .
