The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland 1968 double album on Track Records 613008 / 613009 in stereo with fully laminated gatefold cover and the all important blue text track listing and larger pictures of Redding and Mitchell confirming this as a first pressing. Labels show the inverted matrix numbers (see pic) as befits a first pressing... Accept no imitations !!! This is the real deal.

75 minutes of pure psychedelic rock , this was the last official 'Experience' album released in October 1968. An extravagant double set now recognised as a major work.

Matrices/Stampers (please note that some of the stamped matrix numbers have been corrected by 'hand etching' on the dead wax - I will give details if you really want to know - but yet another sign of an early press.)

CONDITION SUMMARY

VINYLS..........both in very good condition and have been fully play-tested . There are no major/serious defects (no skips/loud clicks) and no 'nailcatchers' on any of the four sides. Both vinyls do have some visible light superficial surface scratches producing some low-level surface noise mainly on musically quieter parts and blank wax areas.  Side D shows the most visible of all the surface marks but these have an almost negligible effect on the sound quality, certainly sound reproduction is equal to the other three sides (this has been double checked).

COVER........The Ernest J Day & Co. fully laminated 'nude' gatefold cover is in excellent condition . The front 'nude' panels are extremely clean with only several small 1cm creases in the laminate around the edges. Similarly the inside portrait panels are in excellent condition too. The seams are in a strong , undamaged condition. The outer spine is in excellent condition with just a hint of laminate roughness to the touch. The inside of the spine hinge shows the slightest trace of laminate cracking . It is still in excellent and in  strong condition.  The gatefold does not appear to have been reverse-folded (to hide the nudes' modesty) as with so many of these covers. The inner gatefold photos, panel laminate and text passages are all in very nice bright condition. No fading, no other laminate bubbling or peeling.  The opening edges and corners are still quite sharp and have no tears or splits just minimal signs of wear. There are no pin holes either - many of these covers were also hung as posters. Not this one !

LABELS .... are excellent, no damage, clean but with spindle marks in centres.

INNER SLEEVES...poly-lined white inners are immaculate.
