UP FOR BID TODAY IS THE RARE AND ELUSIVE JIMI HENDRIX "AXIS BOLD AS LOVE", MONO, 1ST PRESS. REPRISE TRI-COLOR LABEL, Matrix in wax run-off; 10725 R-6281 A 1A, 10726 R-6281 B 1A.
THE COVER IS GRADED AT AN "VG" with with scotch tape repair to the spine and 1 seam, the repairs been done very well, and the cover is still relatively sturdy, with no writing, just seam damage and wear as well as the fauxing common to these early releases. SIDE 1 OF THE VINYL IS GRADED AT "VG+", excellent gloss, there are the typical paper marks (from pulling the record in and out of the sleeve), and a couple of light scratches. A very playable copy of this elusive record. SIDE 2 OF THE VINYL IS GRADED AT "VG", there are the typical paper marks as well as a fingernail scuff or 2 (from pulling the record in and out of the sleeve), and a couple of light scratches, as well as a noticeable scratch across the lp (see pic) THE LABELS ARE GRADED AT "EX-", with the typical light spindle search marks, and not very many of them either, side 1 has a light, small inititials written on the top label, (see pic) THE RECORD SLEEVE i believe to be the original, and is hard to grade, so I'll describe it with some creases and crinkles. THIS IS STILL A VERY USABLE COPY OF THIS RARE AND ELUSIVE ALBUM. I BELIEVE MY GRADING ON THIS ONE IS ON THE CONSERVATIVE SIDE DUE TO THE RARITY..
