THE BRILLIANT guitarist Jimi Sleven (a former member of top Irish prog obscurities Peggy's Leg no less) has all but been written out of the history books despite his recorded legacy attracting increasing interest amongst hard core record collectors. Think Jimmy Page, Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore for an approximation of not only his style but also his musical ambitions. This album eluded me for years until I finally found a copy at a long forgotten record show in the early '90s. Since then I've been enthusiastically championing his talent through friends and acquaintances but in the bigger world he still remains a mystery. This his debut album is a brilliant progressive-into-hard-rock example of his abilities. Released only in his native Eire in 1978 on EMI it couldn't have been a worse time for hard rock music as punk was literally laying waste to everything that Jimi stood for - but the album remains one of the best examples of '70s rock you could wish to hear and its beautiful recorded and produced. Really as one of the rare albums nobody talks about this has everything and more. The credits give both Phil Lynnott and Skid Row man Brush Shiels props.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Superb clean and shiny condition. A few spindle marks on the labels but no other signs of any use. Grades as top shop fresh MINT-!
