JIMMY CRAWFORD 'UNKIND' bw 'LONG STRINGY BABY' 1960 45

Quite scarce with a great Rock 'n' Roll track on the 'B' side.

Pressed in Great Britain and released on  Columbia 45-DB 4525.

Play grades as EX.

Neither  side has any sticks, jumps or distortion with just a little very light crackle in the dead wax areas.

Has a nice sheen. There are a couple of light lines visible in normal light on both sides, also under strong halogen lights there are a few more short lines visible.

Company sleeve grades as EX.

This 45 is signed on both labels [see photos].

I have no way of knowing if these signatures are authentic but the 4 names on the 'B' side are:

Frank White

Art Jacobs

Haydn Lane[?]

Jimmy Crawford had a backing band called the Ravens and I've found out from a couple of web sites that Frank White was the guitarist and that Art Jacobs was the bassist. However I don't know about the other two.  All the signatures are done in the same colour and that may mean that they were all done at the same time, also all the signatures are a little different and, as they are very neat, don't appear to have been done in a hurry.

Please make up your own minds as to whether these are authentic or not, and if anyone could add a little more information I would be grateful.

I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs/45s out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP/45 in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single or LP].

If you require a different packaging method please contact me before the auction ends and I can quote you a revised shipping price. 

Please note that I am away on holiday until 12th October. I will try to check my listings whilst I'm away, but if that isn't possible I will answer any questions on my return.

I normally ship within 1/2 working days of receipt of payment but occasionally, due to work commitments, it can be up to 3 days.

I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.

(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.

(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

United Kingdom shipments should arrive in 2-5 business days from date of shipping.

For International buyers, shipping is by air mail and shipments should arrive in 5- 10 business days from date of shipping.

Delivery times are approximate, they are in business days after the item is shipped. Also please be aware, especially for International shipping, that circumstances beyond my control after shipping can cause delays.

International Buyers are responsible for Import/Custom duties/fees wherever applicable.
