Description

Here's one you might overlook -but don't. Milner was a drummer. 'Shuffle' is a real uptempo stormer with shouted vocals and band. Dedicated to Gene Nobles (1913-1989), a popular DJ who played R&B and related music from the 40's on. The reverse is also up-tempo if not quite so frenetic. Notice label credit of 'direction by E.Barbee'  (Elmer Barbee) who worked with John lee Hooker about this time -1940's/early 50's. One way of getting your hands on a Fortune 78! You won't get a Bo Bo Jenkins at this price! Detroit, 1951.
