Description
This is a rare original MONO pressing of the excellent SERMON! LP by JIMMY SMITH on Blue Note Records (BLP 4011, Mono, w/ "RVG" and "ear" imprint on dead wax) from 1959. A fantastic soul jazz record from this legendary artist. The vinyl is in VG- condition with lots of light marks and wear and some audible surface noise (light crackle); not for the most demanding audiophiles, but a perfectly enjoyable copy without skips or other anomalies that sounds better than it looks thanks to a quality 1950's pressing. The sturdy cardboard cover is in VG condition with a few minor scuffs, dings, and two pencil-width promotional hole punches through the left side, as pictured. Don't pass up a rare gem like this!
