Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Blue Note MONO vinyl LP 4011 (RVG stamped in dead-wax, ear both sides, label shows 'New York' address while cover shows W.61st ST NYC - released 1959
VG+ vinyl appears unplayed; no spindle, handling or play marks. There are some rather cloudy, but superficial, wax markings on each side (see photos) that have NO effect on playback, per play test on NAD C555 turntable. The record displayed mostly pristine analogue sound throughout - except the last track side two which had some repetitive and intermittent clicks of varying degrees of noticeability, though none overtly loud. The VG+ laminated cover shows little shelf wear. The top and bottom throat have creases. There is a small ding upper spine and a small stub lower spine. There are a few laminate edge lifts. There is also a bow to the cover when LP is removed (see photo).
