Description
This is a an Ultra Rare "Jimmy Smith at the organ, vol.3" BLUE NOTE 1525. It has "161 Lexington Ave" on both labels and has the prized "RVG" "9M" and "ear" stamps in the dead wax. The vinyl is only graded VG+ as it has handling marks and numerous surface scratches on both sides, and you will hear some popping and crackling. However, this record plays very nicely without a single skip or repeat. The labels are also in excellent condition w no writing or stains. I have personally seen 3 Lexington copies of 1525, and this is by far the best quality vinly!
The cover is also VG+ because the seams are split on portions of each side. However the front and back covers are still connected and the front and back covers are otherwise in EX condition; no writing, no stains, no missing portions, no ring wear and every word on the back cover is clear and readable!

RECORD GRADING PROCESS & DESCRIPTIONS:
I will always grade Cover & Vinyl separately. Frequently the sides of a record differ in their quality, in which case I will grade them separately. I will also make notes about Label, but if there is no note, it should be assumed that the label is in similar shape to the vinyl grade. These are my 7 Grades:
(NOTE: There is no such thing as MINT if a record has been played, and since it’s impossible to know for certain that a record has not been played—except in the rare case it has original wrapping on it—I will never use that term. Virtually all Records I sell are between VG+ and NM)
(M-) LOOKS MINTY: VINYL appears absolutely perfect, almost as if never played / COVER as perfect as day it was put on shelf
(NM) NEAR MINT: VINYL nearly perfect, no obvious signs of wear on playing surface, virtually noise-free / COVER should have no creases, no split seams, no discount cut-out holes, no stains or writing (name of original owner, store sticker okay)
(EX) EXELLENT: VINYL Looks nearly new, only minor handling marks, very little background noise / COVER looks fairly new, has some slight age or use marks, slightest yellowing on back, minimal seam splits, no major damage
(VG+) VERY GOOD PLUS: VINYL may have scuff marks and signs of some wear but will still play with little sound interference, some detectable crackles or pops / COVER has normal wear, some seam splits or invisible taping, minimal writing on back, but no substantial ring mark.
(VG) VERY GOOD: VINYL may crackle or make other noise in places, but never louder than music, minimal surface scratches (none deep) / COVER has normal wear such a ring wear and some split seams
(G) GOOD: VINYL has substantial crackle and noise, but still lower than music, surface scratches, a few deeper scratches that do not stop play / COVER has more than normal wear, tears, cut-outs, major stains, colored tape, stickers
(OC) POOR / ONLY COLLECTABLE: VINYL badly warped or scratched, won't play through without skipping / COVER completely split, barely keeps the record inside, huge stains or missing pieces. (I won’t sell a POOR record unless it is Very Rare Blue Note or something equally collectable, the kind of album that enhances a collection when no better copy is likely to become available at affordable price.)
