US White Whale Promo Copy (WWS 7117) from 1968.
The cover is VG+ due to wear on the edges...a promo sticker on the front cover and a small part of paper seperating at the upper left corner. The cover has a small bit of ring wear...and the back has light foxing in some of the white areas. The glare at the top is due to the scans...and is not wear.
The disc is VG++ dues to three faint hairlines on side one...and a small scuff that makes four tics on the first cut on side one. The music is recorded "hot" and sounds great with excellent fidelity for a recording of this period. The labels are clean, and there is no visible or audible groove wear. A sealed copy just opened would most likely play no better than this one.
This also has a blue "A" size enclosure on company stationary from the national promotional director of White Whale dated June 27, 1968 that is most interesting as it extolls the virtues of selling this incredible lp to the "total underground movement". It is in VG++ shape due to some staining at the upper area below the companies whale logo.This is most likely rarer than the lp...as I've never seen this before.
