Jamie Myerson, a Cloak'd crusader with 1994 Reinforced stripes, was developing quite the body of work on ASC's Spatial imprint last year with four exceptional EPs and an album. We're not surprised he's left it until December for his first release of 2025. Of course he makes up for lost time with four breath-taking atmospheric jungle journeys. 'Unravelling' lights the fuse with gentle arpeggios and a Seba-like twinkle before things get emotional and nostalgic with the cosmic mourns and poignancy of 'Forced Perspective', blatantly a score to a love scene in a 24th century sci-fi film if ever we've heard one. The pace is then kept by 'Surface Scan' and 'Mixed Motive'. The former a swooning roller that nods to the more gentle regions of UR, Detroit, the latter an odyssey-like piece of timeless funk with 50/50 jazz and futurism. Fans of Voyager will especially be into this. .
