GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musica e direzione orchestrale di Jo Moutet.

Notes : music and orchestra Jo Moutet. Surprising triumph of surrealism in music and songs that sometimes have apparently nonsense features. Actually Jo Moutet is able to express all his artistic side in front of a film whose irreverent and playful plot could be of no easy musical solutions. Let's start with the songs of the opening and ending titles by the lyrics, written by Gérard Sire, decidedly daring (a1, b7). Well the rhythm that accompanies the singing of The Strawberrie's Pots is an entertaining tango. In alternation to pleasant atmospheric themes there are two funk tracks. " Danse Indienne pour a Pub " and " Thief's Trumpet ", both very percussive and from obsessive rhythm. Female chorus and vocalisms expressing amused insinuations in " Gloire Aux Fraises Fourmelon ", " Amandine - Version 2 " and " Ah! Le Joli Pot de Fraises ". I conclude with the afrofunk " Tafé Dubonboulo " characterized by an obsessive repetitive male and female singing with the accompaniment of powerful percussion. A tribute to "Soul Makossa" by Manu Dibangu and satire on the then-first minister Jacques Chirac. The subtitle of the song is " Chant des Piroguiers Grévistes du Haut-Chirak " (Song of the pirogue oarsmen of the High-Chirak on strike).
