original 1970 Blue Thumb BTS-8821 gate-fold pressing
Yowza, here's a rare one: 1st press of this latin-funk album new, in the original, unbroken factory wraps. I just scored this from a former 1960s record store owner, who had kept this in storage in his basement for 45+ years. I bought ~50 of his late-60s new old-stock/still-in-shrink vinyl records, mostly funk and world-beat, completely cleaning me out in the process. I'm selling this gem so I can eat something besides vintage wax.
NEW / NEVER OPENED! What an amazing copy - no bends, dents, creases, edge chips, breaks, splits to sleeve. Cover is bright, unfaded, and unstressed. No splits or dents. Bullet-hole promo hole at right corner. Price sticker at each corner, track-list sticker on bottom. Slight corner edge-wear with matching shrink chip. Gatefold unbowed due to factory using slightly loose shrink. Graphics MUCH brighter and unfaded, as I shot pictures outside.
Shrink is clean, and unyellowed, but "slightly" loose and rippled. There is moderate shrink scuff to both sides. NO shrink split at sleeve opening. Top corners are sharp, unchipped and unfrayed / bottom corners have slight chips (see pix). Closed accordion tear at front bottom. Back bottom right corner has hanging shrink tear. Wrap slightly dusty. Shrink has usual factory "H" wrap & breather holes, price sticker to right top - absolutely no evidence of this ever having been opened or being a re-wrap.
Did I mention it's NEW, IN ORIGINAL UNBROKEN SHRINK?!
