Description

Pidgeon - "Pidgeon" LP, the first album released by the cult singer Jobriath Salisbury and released in the U.S. on the Decca label in 1969 - catalogue number DL 75103. Gatefold sleeve with lyrics inside and interesting artwork!

The much acclaimed Jobriath (now deceased) went on to become a Bowie-a-like singer (although many claim that Bowie actually re-invented himself in the wake of Jobriath), who has achieved cult status with glam-rock fans around the world including Morrissey who has cited him to be an influence on his own career. This early album has a very West Coast Psychedelic feel similar to bands like The Strawberry Alarm Clock, although it is possible to hear the early stages of Jobriath's later glam-rock direction. NO RESERVE.

COVER = VG (has some scuffing to edges and corners and some patches of rubbing elsewhere which is inevitable on the almost matt finished U.S. covers of the time. Also has a small hole punched through which was done on import)
