Description
This week an interesting selection of psych, acid folk, and novelty LPs. From the sublime to the ridiculous, from the "holy grail" rare to the commonplace. JOE AND BING/ Daybreak. Limited Edition LE 1001. Orig. US 1971 pressing. Due to the extreme rarity of this LP, my condition description will be extensive to avoid any confusion. Cover is EX minus. The front cover has the black and white paste on panel. There are some minor finger print like smudges and very slight ringwear. The paste on is loose at the lower left corner where the adhesive has dried. There is a tiny paper tear below the E of Daybreak, which cannot be seen in the photograph. The seams and spine of the black cover are fine. There is no back panel on this copy--I've read that some of these have a back panel with song credits. The LP is VG+ with a fair number of sleeve lines and a couple of audible scratches. Side one plays mostly EX w. some minor surface noise caused by diagonal sleeve lines, mostly noticeable between tracks. Side two is closer to VG due to audible scratches on the second and last tracks of the side. These scratches make a ticking sound throughout both tracks, but they do not dominate the sound of the record. Still very enjoyable. OK, here's one of those ultra rare holy grail LPs (I hate that term) from a folk rock duo heralding from the Village Beautiful, Williamstown, MA. This was recorded with ace sessions players such as Joe Beck and Grady Tate. It was sold at the duo's concerts, with a limited pressing of 1000-1500 copies. It is rarely seen or offered. So here's your chance. TERMS OF SALE--PLEASE READ CAREFULLY TO AVOID ANY MISUNDERSTANDING. These terms are not negotiable. Payment by paypal within 5 days. Buyer pays for postage, packing, service.
