Description
This is a near mint LP from Joe Bennett & The Sparkletones titled "Black Slacks" on the MCA Records label catalog number MCA-1553. This compilation, issued in 1983, includes The Sparkletones’ big hits “Black Slacks”, “Penny Loafers And Bobby Sox” and “The Boppin’ Rock Boogie” plus seven other great rockabilly tunes by this great band of four young guys ages 12, 14, 15 and 16. All songs are originals written by the band members and recorded in 1957. All were mastered for this LP from the original 1957 ABC-Paramount 15ips session tapes. This LP package was compiled and annotated by Steve Hoffman.
I purchased this record new and it has been played only a few times on a high end turntable. It was play tested for this listing.
This highly collectible record is in near mint condition and plays like a new record. The outer jacket is like brand new with perfect seams. Original shrink is still attached. The record labels are in like new condition.
I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
