JOE GORDON & THE SLIDERS -- There's a Great Big Moon Tonight/Love Is Like a Mountain -- ex. rare, original 1958 U.S. 45.  Superb double-sided 45 from this short-lived vocal group featuring Vernon Garrett (Vernon & Jewel etc.), that apparently imploded when Billy Ward approached lead singer Joe Gordon to join The Dominoes.  A-side "There's a Great Big Moon Tonight" is excellent R&B-flavored uptempo Doo Wop number; B-side "Love Is Like a Mountain" terrific, haunting Doo Wop ballad, killer stuff.  A very hard record to find -- does not come up for sale often.  In generic sleeve.  Record:  VG++/VG+++, on Chevron label, U.S. pressing.
