ORIGINAL UK issue on CBS (Milestone in the States) from 1968. Not a reissue or foreign copy. Super-clean copy – unmarked & little sign of play. Rare album from a well cared for jazz collection.
Joe’s solo career began in the mid-1960s with a series of seminal Hard Bop LPs for Blue Note. This one is certainly their equal. It is neo-bop with swing, bebop, post-bop and free jazz all coming together. A very underrated album.
