ARTIST: Joe Hill Louis
TITLES: Gotta Let You Go / Boogie In The Park - Reissue / Reproduction of an original recording for “The Phillips” label, owned by Sam Phillips and Dewey Phillips (no relation) in August 1950. It was the first record issued by what was to go on the become Sun Records. It was issued in limited numbers, only as a 78. An interesting piece of Sun Records memorabilia.
LABEL/NUMBER: “The Phillips” Label – 9001 / 9002
SPEED/SIZE: - 45 RPM – 7 Inches
DISC CONDITION: VG+/NM – it looks hardly played.
SLEEVE CONDITION: Mounted in a Reproduction sleeve, one side is of a “audiodiscs” sleeve and the other is, I believe, a representation of a common generic sleeve from the era. VG+.
