Description
This is the great JOE LEE WILSON, known generally for his groove jazz/ spiritual jazz albums: "What Would It Be Without You" on Survival, "Hey Look At You" on East Wind, "Livin' High Off Nickels And Dimes" on Oblivion, "Shout For Trane" on Whynot, "Without a Song" on Inner City, and "In The Great City" (with Norman Simmons) on Powertree.
This 45 combines Sittin' High- an atmospheric loner folk/jazz effort that reminds me of Terry Callier's Occasional Rain - and Sparrow Singin' Jazz, a straight jazz track with the Charlie Williams Trio. Neither of these tracks appear on any of his albums.
Record has little play evident but the surface marks typical for a styrene pressing. Very glossy. Visually VG+ to VG++. Plays VG++ (taking into account that it's a low-fidelity record to begin with). I've only ever seen this record sold in VG CONDITION - three times! Never seen a copy offered in shape as nice as this; so my price is probably a bargain.
