LABEL DESCRIPTION:  EXCELLENT (EX) FIRST PRESSING ON 6-EYE COLUMBIA LABEL with no writing and light spindle marks

GRADE & DESCRIPTION (COVER):  EXCELLENT PLUS (EX+) with no seam splits, no writing or promo cuts, one crease center left at opening, no other creases, solid spine with legible text, up and lower seams are Excellent and text is visible on top seam, light corner wear, opening edge has light wear upper section, inside sleeve is a stock Columbia sleeve in Excellent shape.

GRADE & DESCRIPTION (RECORD): EXCELLENT (EX) with light signs of play, light paper scuff marks and hairlines, no major scratches that cause any skips or jumps, has gloss and shine, play graded Excellent with low background that fades when music hits.

Joe Maphis, born Otis W. Maphis (May 12, 1921 – June 27, 1986), was an American country music guitarist. He married singer Rose Lee Maphis in 1953.

One of the flashiest country guitarists of the 1950s and 1960s, Joe Maphis was known as The King of the Strings.  He was able to play many stringed instruments with great facility. However, he specialized in dazzling guitar virtuosity.
