This is an original pressing from 1957 on the black Atlantic label.
I thought about spending several paragraphs talking about the album cover, the inner sleeve and the LP. Changed my mind. The reason is this: you wouldn't believe me. This is really one of those times when you have to SEE it to BELIEVE it. It looks like someone got into a time machine, went back to 1957, and bought this record at their neighborhood record shop; then, of course, made the return journey. If you're a JOE TURNER fan, you do NOT want to pass this up. The inner sleeve is in NEAR MINT condition; both album cover and LP are MINT (they look NEW!).
A BRIEF WORD ABOUT BOOTLEGS AND COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
Obviously, Rainy Day Records does NOT knowingly offer bootlegs in any format; nor do we knowingly put up for auction any item (LP, CD, cassette, video, etc.) that infringes on an individual’s intellectual property rights. However, we seem to have gotten on several s--t lists including eBay’s, the RIAA’s, and a few major labels’. How we managed to rate this kind of scrutiny is anybody’s guess – an angered seller whose prices we undercut might have falsely accused us just for fun; the RIAA has in error at least once in the past advised eBay to pull one of our listings (they apologized later after it was too late). Our main problem lies with import vinyl where European rights might be cool but the US affiliates, prompted by greed, swear to eBay on a stack of Bibles that they’re being denied their cash. EBay always acquiesces. Bottom line – know that at any given time one of our auctions might be arbitrarily pulled for no apparent reason other than greed. Keep our 800 number handy. Thanks.
