Click Image to EnlargeThis is a studio album by Joe Walsh titled "The Smoker You Drink The Player You Get". Member of the band The Eagles. Released in 1973 by ABC Dunhill Records. Length: 35:44, 9 songs. #DSX-50140. In stereo. The record has not been played. In mint condition. This has been stored upright on my album rack in my home. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records for free. Sometimes duplicates. Album comes in an oversize plastic sleeve which you can partially see in the main gallery image. Gatefold jacket is in good condition however there is a ¼" tear on back at the bottom center below the name Dan Mainzer. The Dunhill sleeve inside is in good condition but with 5 little tiny holes at the bottom. Included is a color picture of Walsh printed onto a sheet of paper.

ABOUT THE ARTIST & ALBUMJoseph Fidler Walsh (born November 20, 1947) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Best known as a member of the rock band Eagles, his five-decade career has also included solo work and stints in two other successful rock bands: James Gang and Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. He was also part of the New Zealand band Herbs. In the 1990s, he was a member of the short-lived supergroup The Best.
"The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get" was his second studio album. It proved to be his commercial breakthrough, largely on the strength of the Top 40 hit single, "Rocky Mountain Way", which helped propel the album into the Top 10. The other single released from this album was "Meadows". On this album, Walsh shares the vocals and songwriting with the other three members of Barnstorm: drummer/multi-instrumentalist Joe Vitale, bassist Kenny Passarelli, and new member, keyboardist Rocke Grace. As a result, a variety of styles are explored on this album; there are elements of blues, jazz, folk, pop, and even Caribbean music.
