FOR SALE:
Excellent set of (18) 33 rpm Stereo LP's in a single large box set; complete Organ Music of Johann Sebastian Bach as performed by Walter Kraft. Kraft plays all 217 organ works on 20 different notable European organs of Bach's time. All the preludes, fugues, chorales, sonatas, toccatas and partitas. Amazing performance by Walter Kraft.
The LP's are in very good condition - no visible scratches. The sleeves are also in very good condition. The box is broken at the corners and one side is gone. Included in the box are two pamphlets - one briefly describing the individual contents of each of the 18 albums - the other is an extensive writing of the life of Bach, his music and the organist Walter Kraft. It is illustrated with the organs along with extensive information of the 20 organs used to create this large volume. The famous essay "The Performance of the Organ Works" by Albert Schweitzer is also included.
Very well-indexed for all the music pieces.
