SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES!! This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1968 COLTRANE RECORDS LP containing the 1968 album titled 'Cosmic Music' from John and Alice Coltrane. It is Coltrane Records catalog number CRL 5000, thick cardboard gatefold cover still surrounded by its original soft poly outer wrapping, and appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the past month as far as I can tell. This LP came from a large collection that all dated from the late 1960s to the early to mid 1970s. This is the original private Coltrane Records thick rigid vinyl issue of this LP, which was first issued by John and Alice Coltrane on their own Coltrane Music label in 1968 before the album was reissued on Impulse Records a year later in 1969. Personnel: John Coltrane-tenor sax, bass clarinet / Alice Coltrane-piano / Pharoah Sanders-tenor sax, flute / Jimmy Garrison-bass violin / Rashied Ali-percussion / Ray Appleton-percussion / Ben Riley-percussion. Tracks: Rev. King, Manifestation (John Coltrane), The Sun, Lord Help Me To Be (Alice Coltrane). Condition of record is a real nice VG++ with just a few visible sleeve marks which are not the result of use, cannot be felt, and have no effect on play. Record does have a slight slow warp which did not have any effect at all on play on my turntable with a lightweight tone arm. Labels have no problems at all. Conditon of thick cardboard gatefold cover is VG++ with a little wear along the edges and on the corners as the only very minor flaws. Cover has no splits, tears, writing, or stickers.
