Features many of Cage's best known works, including the revolutionary and experimental "Williams Mix", a musique concrete project comprised of random sounds. Recorded in performance at Town Hall, NY May 15, 1958. Album produced by George Avakian. He is accompanied at various times by David Tudor. Comes with fantastic booklet and fullsize reprints of several Cage scores and diagrams. Some of the enclosed photos by Robert Rauschenberg, who along with Jasper Johns produced the concert. This set is extremely rare in this century and nearly impossible to find nowadays !
