Description

This sale is for a copy of "Blue Train" by John Coltrane. This is from 1957 on Blue Note BLP-1599 in mono. This is in good playable condition........see all photos because they are part of the description. This features a laminated cover, deep groove labels on both sides, RVG, the ear & 9m on both sides in the dead wax. The players are John Coltrane (tenor sax), Lee Morgan (trumpet), Curtis Fuller (trombone), Kenny Drew (piano), Paul Chambers (bass) & "Philly" Joe Jones (drums).  The songs are "Blue Train", "Moment's Notice", "Locomotion", "I'm Old Fashioned" & "Lazy Bird".

Condition

Cover : The laminated cover is in good condition with the top seam totally split with tape but the other 2 seams are 100% with some light edge wear & there is some corner wear (see photos). Also, there is a small white price sticker on the back but otherwise this is presentable & would make a great filler until you find a better conditioned copy.  *****PLEASE NOTE***** In the photo, the spot at the bottom of the cover is from the flash of my camera. This is NOT on the cover. Flash only.

Vinyl : The vinyl shines like new with all of its original gloss & is in good condition on both sides. This plays all the way through with light noise (not over bearing). There are several scuffs & light scratches. One scratch you can feel but there are no skips & has a few light clicks, but still plays pretty nicely.

Labels : The deep-groove labels are in VG++ condition with some very light trails.
