2010 Analogue Productions (very) limited edition reissue of Coltrane's "A Love Supreme" on 45rpm double 180 gram audiophile vinyl. First numbered edition, this copy is #911 (I'm not certain, but I believe less than 2000 were originally pressed. There was a small repress in 2013 as well, non-numbered). Remastered and cut from original analogue tapes by Kevin Gray at Acoustech Mastering and pressed at RTI, this is quite simply astoundingly gorgeous sounding. Even for those that have original 1965 Impulse pressings and have heard this landmark recording thousands of times, this 45rpm edition is still nothing short of a revelation.
The super-thick and glossy tip-on style gatefold sleeve is a work of art in itself as well. Comes with a booklet with photos and some writings on the history of Impulse Records.
VPI cleaned, only ever played a couple of times, both records and cover still in near mint, like new condition.
