Description

Very rare ORIGINAL 1961 IMPULSE! STEREO PRESSING in thick laminated gatefold sleeve. One of his lesser known but greatest masterpieces, beautiful sound on heavyweight 60s vinyl, ("Van Gelder" mastering credits in runout grooves). 
PLEASE NOTE -the sleeve is for the mono version, but the vinyl is the stereo, somehow got mixed up back in the day (see photos).
In amazing condition for its age, play tested and VPI cleaned, the record plays VG to VG+, some minor crackle in parts towards the end of Side 1 and a little in a short quiet passage of "Greensleeves", otherwise plays great, lovely sound. The gatefold cover has some general shelf wear and there is a small water stain on the inside gatefold, but overall still really beautiful for is age, still quite vibrant colors and sturdy (see photos!). Includes original ABC Impulse inner sleeve.
