Description
original pressing Blue Train with deep groove labels and ear mark in dead wax. rvg in dead wax. record maintains most of its gloss, solid vg+. side two looks better more like vg++ with scuff marks from spindle touching record when placed on turntable. Record plays with no surface noise on MY system. Only flaw audio wise on side one is repeating static sound during bass solo on 1st cut. this is caused by a very small rectangular mark which is not feelable. Rest of side plays great. Side two a few very light tics in one spot and some light pops at beginning of last song which are mostly drown out by the music. Fidelity is excellent. these first pressings sound more natural than the later pressings (even those also which have ear mark) probably because of a little extra detail which creates more atmosphere. More "you are there" type of sound. Play grade solid vg+. Labels are near mint with no registration marks indicating very first pressing. BOTH labels have same west 63rd address with no registration marks. Cover is very nice vg+ with no edge wear. Has split middle of bottom seam and small split at opening at bottom which has small piece of clear tape applied to it. see picture. No ring wear, just some very light shelf wear. Nice gloss to laminated cover. again please check photos to get a better idea. Overall a very nice true original with some minor flaws. please check my other auctions for original jazz lps. thanks.
