Description

You are bidding on John Coltrane's classic "Blue Train" vinyl record.  This is the second pressing on the Blue Note label with the 47 West 63rd NYC address. The dead wax features RVG stampings, plastylite “ears”, and 9M stampings on both sides. In addition the labels are deep groove on both sides and there is no “R” trademark by the blue note labels, which is as it should be.


The vinyl record has been play graded and visually graded in NM- condition.  Sounds and looks beautiful. I downgraded it to NM- only because visually, it has a bit of sleeve rash but does not affect play. No skips. Extremely enjoyable listen to this highly sought after LP.  


The cover is graded in VG condition.  The front laminated cover is in very nice condition with no peeling of the lamination. The back cover is in nice condition with some staining in the upper left and right corners (see pix). It grades down to VG because as you can see in the pix, a previous owner decided to overprotect both the seams and spine with masking tape. I have no idea if this was preventative or if there were splits that the owner wished to “repair” but I’m not going to remove the tape to find out. If that is something you would like to do then that is your decision once you have the jacket in your possession. Other than those flaws, the cover is fine and presentable. No writing. This comes with the original inner sleeve which we do not grade.
