Description
For auction is JOHN COLTRANE's "Black Pearls" on Prestige 7316 MONO. This is a re-press issue on a gold label. I cannot ascertain the date of this issue.
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides partially. It sounded crisp and clean, with no flaws of note! Very enjoyable by all means!
Visually, the vinyl is about VG+, with a few minor scuffs. This record is deep-grooved on both sides. Dead wax is stamped "Van Gelder" on both sides and runout numbers are engraved: PRLP-7316A/PRLP-7316B.
The sleeve is VG+ (probably better) with no flaws of note. It's clean, with solid seams and corners all around. Has radio station stamps on reverse and catalogue sticker on front corner.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A nice record, in great condition. No reserve, bidding starts at $10.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
