Description

“Giant Steps" LP by John Coltrane on Atlantic 1311, original mono U.S. black label pressing from 1960.  Great liner notes on back by Nat Hentoff.  One of Trane's greatest classics, and ranked by Rolling Stone as number 102 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time!

 

Personnel:  John Coltrane, tenor sax; Tommy Flanagan & Wynton Kelly, piano; Paul Chambers, bass; Art Taylor & Jimmy Cobb, drums. 

 

Cover is VG+ with no ringwear, just light wear overall.  Very straight and solid with no splits, tears, stickers or writing.  Lamination is intact with no peeling.  Faint spots on back.  This cover displays beautifully!

 

Disc is VG to VG+ with some light scuffs and small scratches, but still with full gloss and no detectable wear.  Plays well with only minor noise that does not detract from this incredible music.  The sound would probably be even better after a good machine cleaning, but I prefer to leave that to the discretion of the winning bidder.

 

 Labels are EX with no writing, stickers, stains, fingerprints or wear.  Some faint spindle trails are the only imperfections!

 

  A very respectable copy of this in-demand classic.  Don't miss your chance to own an original!
