Description
You are bidding on a rare, original, vintage, LP record album, from 1958, by John Coltrane with Red Garland, entitled, "Sountrane", on the Prestige record label, #PRLP 7142. This is the rare, original issue with the deep groove on the classic Prestige labels with black print and the address, "203 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J." The labels are in very good plus to excellent condition. The vinyl is in very good plus to excellent condition. There is a two-inch row of light scuffs on the first song band of the B Side vinyl. There is are only a few other light or light to moderate scratches on either vinyl. The mirror-like vinyl gloss is tremendous. The jacket is in fair condition. There is an area of soiling of heavy soiling on the front cover, at the upper right hand corner. There is also light soling and light ring wear on the front side cover against the white and blue backgrounds. There is a 1 and 1/2 inch edge split at the bottom right. There is a split at the top left corner that goes an inch horizontally and an inch vertically. The left side edge has some fraying. There are some small spots of fraying on the bottom edge as well. There is corner wear. The back side cover has very light to light soiling of the white background, heavier around the edges and the upper left hand corner. There is an original price sticker at the upper right hand cover on the back side cover. Please see the detailed photos. The musicians on the album are: John Coltrane-tenor sax; Red Garland-piano; Paul Chambers-bass; and Arthur Taylor-drums. This is a 3-day, no reserve sale.
