Please read my description carefully before bidding.  I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.


This one is the first mono pressing of John Coltrane and Paul Quinichette's CATTIN' WITH COLTRANE AND QUINICHETTE.  Prestige Records PRLP-7158. This is an original issue from Prestige Records, not a reissue version.  Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1957, with "RVG" stamped on the dead wax of both sides.  Deep Groove on both labels.  Labels address: PRESTIGE RECORDS INC., South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J.


John Coltrane and Paul Quinichette (tenor saxophone), Mal Waldron (piano), Julian Euell (bass), Ed Thigpen (drums). 


The vinyl played NM on both sides. Grooves do not show any wear or damage. But when I put the disc under bright light, I only rate it VG++ due to some non-feelable scuffs and hairlines.  Still bright and grossly. 


Comes with original Prestige sleeve. (picture no.6 and 7)


The cover is VG++.  Strong. No major split, just crack on an upper seam (see picture no.4) and at the lower right corner (only half a centimeter).  Small paper loss on the back cover.  Small crack on corners (see picture no. 3 and 5).  The spine is intact and readable.


The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.


My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.
